The Dayak are the native people of Kalimantan. Their classification is largely limited among the ethnic groups traditionally concentrated in the south and interior of Sarawak and Kalimantan. Ot Danum is a generic term meaning “people who live in the upper regions along rivers.” In the past, the Dayak were feared for their ancient tradition of headhunting practices.
